概要	In this paper, we explain the present state of Japanese MNCs in terms of international competitiveness and discuss the necessity of development of new business, namely innovation for their new growth. In addition, we examine features of innovation in Japanese MNCs and propose a new way of innovation, that is "collaborative innovation." In conclusion, to implement such innovation, Japanese MNCS have to make much effort to not only effect the organizational transformation, but also develop or utilize global personnel like "boundary spanners."
