概要	alpha,beta,gamma,delta-Unsatd. esters were conveniently synthesized from Et sulfolane-2-carboxylate through alkylation and oxidn., followed by the retro-Diels-Alder reaction of the resulting 3-sulfolene derivs. The reaction proceeded with high (E,E)-selectivity. The insecticide pellitorine was prepd. in 68% yield with 95% (E,E)-selectivity.
