概要	N-(2-hydroxyethoxy)carbonyl-L-phenylalanine (I) was prepd. by reaction of L-phenylalanine sodium salt and ethylene carbonate. I was polymd. in the presence of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide or 1-methyl-2-fluoropyridinium p-toluenesulfonate to give polyester-polyurethane. The polymer could be hydrolyzed in the presence of trypsin.
