概要	Hosting behaviours are increasingly recognised as key in visiting friends and relatives (VFR) travel, yet challenges faced by migrant hosts remain underexplored. This study investigates issues experienced by Japanese migrant VFR hosts in Australia when hosting culturally and linguistically different travellers. Twelve challenges were identified and categorised into three areas, with communication barriers and social obligations emerging as major factors leading to host reluctance. Despite shared cultural backgrounds, socio-cultural differences and distinct living environments further intensified difficulties. The study calls for further research to examine these challenges by host and traveller type to better support VFR market development.
