| 概要 | This paper reviews the history of Faculty Development (FD), Staff Development (SD), and Professional Development (PD) in Japan over the past 10 years, based on the work of the Training and Exchange Support Division(renamed the Training and Exchange Support Project in 2020).
Chapter 1 presents the background to FD activities becoming compulsory in Japan (Kota Mochizuki). Chapter 2 discusses the trends of research regarding the components of FD and SD in university of teacher education and university faculties of education (Hatsuo Mitsuishi). Chapter 3 describes the contributions of the HATO project to PD (Makoto Shimoda). Chapter 4 presents a discussion of the contents of FD in teacher training faculties and universities (Makoto Shimoda and Keiji Matsuda). Chapter 5 discusses basic research on methods for measuring the effectiveness of training programs (Keiko Aramaki). |
