概要	The sponge phase is one of self-assembled structures formed by surfactant systems and this has unique properties. Some recent studies on the sponge phase have demonstrated the high cleansing performance even at the lower surfactant concentrations, corresponding to the “Less-is-More” concept and also the sustainable formulation. This paper reviews these formulation studies for cosmetics, based on an overview of the sponge phase.
