概要	There is a linguistic paradigm that states that the language of descendants of enslaved Africans in the United States (commonly known as Black English) is not a dialect of English but a new African language derived from West African languages. The paper reconstructs the process by which the proponent's everyday, educational, economic, and political experiences may have influenced the birth of the paradigm.
