概要	A qualitative investigation through observations, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, and analysis of course documents was conducted into the out-of-class group work in an English-medium EAP class. The objective of the study was to identify the challenges students faced in out-of-class project work, the autonomous strategies used to overcome those challenges, and the additional support deemed necessary. The findings could inform curriculum choices for programs designed to prepare students for academic success in study abroad contexts.
