| 概要 | In Japan, roughly one-third of children exposed to English and Japanese are passive bilinguals. When parents continue to use English with their Japanese-speaking children, their interactions can become dual-lingual. This study examines dual-lingual interactions between an English-speaking father and his Japanese-speaking child to determine the extent to which parental discourse strategies contribute towards passive bilingualism. |
