概要 | Photo-induced cationic polymns. of 2-alkenyl-4-methylene-1,3-dioxolanes (I) with benzyl(4-hydroxyphenyl)methylsulfonium hexafluoroantimonate (II) are described. Although cationic polymns. of I with methanesulfonic acid at ambient temp. afforded only crosslinked polymers, the photo-induced cationic polymn. with II proceeded without crosslinking, and unsatd. polyketone having two unit structures was obtained. The ratio of the units was independent of the polymn. conditions. Terminal cation attacked the vinyl ether part of the monomer, and subsequently ring-opening isomerization gave terminal oxyallyl cation (III). Semi-empirical MO calcns. suggested that the coeff. of LUMO of III controlled the α- and γ-attack of I on III. |
