概要 | CALET (CALorimetric Electron Telescope) will be installed on the International Space Station for a long term observation of high energy electrons, gamma-rays, and nuclei. Energy resolution and particle identication power of the detector are estimated to be high enough to achieve a direct measurement of TeV electron sources and a model estimation of dark matter annihilation. For continuous high performance of the detector, on-orbit calibration of each detector component is required. We use the measured response to MIP (Minimum Ionizing Particle) from cosmic ray protons and Helium nuclei for the calibration, taking data by dedicated trigger mode, and selecting useful events by o-line analysis. In this paper, we present on-line and off-line data handling methods for the calibration developed by Monte-Carlo simulation. |
