概要 | This study examined interactional phenomena facilitative to the education of attention in enskillment (Ingold, 2001) through the framework of Goodwin's (2018) Co-Operative Action. Based on videotaped interaction of a piano practice session of Burgmuller's Arabesque involving an 8-year-old Japanese child and her mother, multimodal analysis reveals that semiotic resources are extracted and deployed within and across semiotic fields (i.e., the score, the keyboard) in the interest of educating the novice's attention. Interactional phenomena found to promote attentional attunement include the formation of frames of divergent orientation, indexicals that concurrently designate distinct but related referents on adjacent semiotic fields, semiotic coupling, indexical and syntactic tying of attentional anchors across repeated performaces, changes in epistemic stance, and a related semiotic and syntactic disintegration of directives interated at the same moment across performances. |
