概要 | Arom. poly(thioether-ketones) (PTEKs) bearing 2,6-dimethyl-1,5-naphthylene units were synthesized by the polycondensation of 1,5-bis(4-halobenzoyl)-2,6-dimethylnaphthalenes with arom. dithiols in the presence of K2CO3. PTEKs with mol. wt. (Mn ∼ 65,000, Mw ∼ 350,000) were obtained in quant. yields. The mol. wts. and yields of PTEKs obtained from arom. dichloroketones and arom. dithiols were much higher than those of the corresponding poly(ether-ketones) obtained from arom. dichloroketones and bisphenols and were nearly the same as those of PTEKs obtained from arom. difluoroketones and arom. dithiols. The effect of reaction conditions on the yield and mol. wt. of PTEKs was investigated. The PTEKs had high soly. in ordinary org. solvents. Flexible, transparent, and strong films were cast from CHCl3 soln. The PTEKs had high glass transition temps. (245 and 215°) and 5% wt. loss temps. (435 and 436°). |
