概要 We propose a method of detecting a vehicle in danger of collision before it enters an intersection and warning drivers of that danger, by taking each vehicle to be an agent and delivering travel information by inter-vehicle geocast (IVG) to a vehicle agent that is currently traveling on a priority road in the vicinity of the intersection. We have also confirmed the effectiveness of this method by experiments. In the experiments, we varied the traffic density on the priority road and evaluated collision probability and number of messages in comparison with a method by which travel information is broadcast continuously. The results show that the proposed method restrains the number of messages at intersections where the volume of traffic is large.
