概要 As a result of the scientific expedition to St Helena (1676-1678), Edmond Halley published, in 1678, a star catalogue of the southern sky with planispheres of the southern and northern skies. The National Maritime Museum owns Halley's northern-sky planisphere with a handwritten note upon it. This study is primarily about the handwritten information added to the printed planisphere. The handwritten note is found to be the quote from Halley's catalogue of the southern sky. This note describes how to obtain the lunar orbit in the heaven. Handwriting analysis about the note suggests the likelihood of Isaac Newton's hand in 1680s. There are three spots labelled 'Nebulosa', and there are another fourteen spots without labels. These nebulous spots are all identified. Independently of the above, three evidences are proposed to support the idea that James Clerk, the engraver of this planisphere, is the companion and assistant for Halley in the expedition to St Helena.
