概要 | Desulfurization from fuel oils has been recognized as an important task for more than the past two decades. In this study, we examined the removal of DBT, methylated DBT derivatives (MeDBT and DMeDBT), and 1-benzothiophene (1-BT) from several oil phases (octane, toluene, light oil, or kerosene) at room temperature by use of the two-phase system consisting the target oil phase and the aqueous phase containing decatungstate [W10O32]4– as a catalyst and H2O2 as an oxidant, and tetraoctylammnonium bromide as a phase transfer agent. Effects of the structure of these sulfur compounds and oil media on the desulfurization and the mechanism of the desulfurization are discussed. |
