| 概要 | This study presented preliminary findings from a qualitative study with Japanese international students in Australia. Using qualitative data collected from Japanese postgraduate students, their major motivational factors for coming to study in Australia and underlying reasons for their decisions were observed. Their motivational factors and reasons were categorised into three push factors which were 'enhancing career', 'acquiring a degree from a foreign university' and 'improving English' and three pull factors which were 'living environment', 'familiarity with Australia' and 'competitive tuition fee' using a push-pull framework. |
