概要 | Owing to their high stability, fluoropolymers have many industrial uses. Among them, poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF, −(CF2CH2)n−) has been involved in many applications. Wider use of these polymers should require the establishment of efficient waste treatment protocol. This presentation aims at reporting an effective method for complete mineralization of PVDF, poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) copolymer [poly(VDF-co-HFP)], and poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-perfluoromethyl vinyl ether) copolymer [poly(VDF-co-PMVE)], in subcritical water at lower temperature (~250 ºC) in the presence of KMnO4. |
