|概要||Recently, graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4), which can be easily prepared by heating of nitrogen-rich compounds at 500-650 ºC, has received much attention because it can act as a photocatalyst for water splitting and NO oxidation, etc.
Herein we investigated the visible-light induced decomposition of monothanolamine (MEA) in water by g-C3N4, which was prepared by condensation of melamine. Four kinds of g-C3N4, that is, as prepared sample from melamine (Std-g-C3N4), g-C3N4 obtained from hydrothermal treatment of Std-g-C3N4 (HT-g-C3N4), Pt-loaded HT-C3N4 and Ag-loaded HT-C3N4 (g-HT-C3N4-Pt and HT-C3N4-Ag, respectively, where the content of Pt or Ag was ~1 wt %), were used for the reactions.
